To fuel our next growth phase, we're hiring a VP Sales / Commercial Lead – SME Banking to join our team and work closely with the Chief Sales Officer. In this high-impact role, you'll not only lead sales execution but also shape our go-to-market strategy and positioning across regions.
Tasks
Lead and Scale the SME Sales Organization
- Define and execute our SME sales strategy across current and new geographies.
- Build, coach, and lead a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
- Manage the full commercial funnel—from lead generation and nurturing to closing and customer handover—with a strong focus on conversion at every stage.
Own the Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy
- Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, and Revenue Operations to align market positioning, product messaging, and customer acquisition strategies.
- Identify and prioritize target segments, geographies, and verticals for expansion.
- Champion product-market fit across regions and customer types.
Drive Performance with Data and KPIs
- Set ambitious KPIs, growth targets, and forecasting models; report directly to the executive team.
- Ensure rigorous pipeline discipline and performance monitoring through data-driven processes.
- Continuously review and refine team performance with an outcome- and insight-focused mindset.
Lead with Market and Customer Insight
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to anticipate shifts and trends.
- Feed market and customer insights into product roadmap discussions and marketing strategies.
- Act as the voice of the customer internally, shaping how we sell, communicate, and expand.
Automate and Optimize for Scale
- Implement scalable, tech-driven sales and marketing processes in collaboration with Revenue Operations.
- Champion automation and modern outreach tools across the sales journey—from lead scoring and CRM hygiene to dashboarding and reporting.
- Embrace experimentation and rapid iteration to accelerate learning and growth.
Requirements
What You Bring
- 5+ years of B2 B sales experience (Fintech, Saa S or Tel Co), including 3+ years in commercial or sales leadership roles.
- Track record of building and leading international, high-performing sales teams.
- Strategic thinker with deep experience in go-to-market planning, customer segmentation, and product positioning.
- Fluent in CRM (Salesforce), outreach tools, and data dashboards.
- Skilled in leading cross-functional initiatives and aligning Sales, Marketing, and Product.
- Experience in selling standardized products with predefined pricing and scalable delivery models.
- Comfortable driving both top-line revenue growth and brand visibility.
- A strong communicator and leader who thrives in a fast-paced scale-up environment.
