As a global leader, indie's photonics team specializes in developing advanced optical systems and components that drive progress across various industries—from material processing, quantum technologies, Li DAR, navigation, sensing, and imaging, to augmented reality and medical applications.
We are seeking a
HOPP Production Operator
on a full-time or near full-time basis (80% - 100%) to support the production of advanced laser products. In this role, the candidate will work closely with our development and process engineering teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Your Responsibilities
Perform manual and automated production of optical light sources.
Operate an automated production robot used to position micro-optics.
Carry out soldering and adhesive bonding processes.
Perform manual and automated wire-bonding operations.
Conduct visual quality inspections using microscopes.
Follow established procedures and adhere to manufacturing tolerances while ensuring on-time delivery.
Support the ongoing improvement and optimization of existing manufacturing processes.
Your Qualifications
Technical training in electronics, mechanics, optics, or a similar field
At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing and handling micro-optics, MEMS, or semiconductor technology
Experience working in laboratories and cleanroom environments, as well as using microscopes
Strong attention to detail, precise working methods, and dexterity in handling high-quality optical components
Ability to collaborate closely and effectively with development engineers
Capacity to work independently with a high level of self-motivation and organizational skills
Good verbal and written communication skills in German; English is an asset
