This exciting Global role in the Group’s Life Business Management Propositions and Pricing team will require a dynamic and experienced actuary who brings excellent Investment and Savings product and pricing knowledge, combined with strong commercial acumen to drive profitable growth.
What you will do
- Drive profitable growth of Zurich’s Investment and Savings business, covering both unit-linked and traditional savings solutions.
- Provide hands-on product design and pricing support for business units, to ensure solutions meet customer needs while meeting Zurich’s internal requirements.
- Support the optimisation of Zurich’s existing open-to-sale investment and savings products, as well as product and pricing aspects of Group product approval processes.
- Build and maintain tools to support calculation of Pricing KPIs and sensitivity testing, support BUs in their implementation.
- Work with other Group functions to ensure efficiency of solutions, considering Asset-Liability Management and capital consumption.
What you bring
- At least 10 to 15 years Actuarial experience, including expert knowledge of pricing both unit-linked and traditional life insurance investment and savings products, ideally across a range of markets and products. Protection knowledge a plus.
- Significant experience pricing or managing retail Life investment and savings products, as well as a robust knowledge of economic capital models and estimation techniques.
- Sound knowledge of Life Asset-Liability Management approaches and considerations as they relate to product design and pricing.
- Ability to both lead, and work as part of cross-functional and cross-country teams.
- Excellent modelling skills across a range of tools – at a minimum with Excel, but ideally experience with standard tools in the industry e.g. Prophet, but also R / Python.
- Strong commercial acumen, including a detailed understanding of propositions from a customer, distributor and shareholder perspective, and an understanding of different life insurance business models and their impacts on pricing and products.
- Strong communication skills, verbally and in writing, with a proven ability to work across cultures and geographies.
- Proactive self-starter, looking to support Zurich in profitable growth.
- Role is English-speaking, however additional language skills are a plus.
