Watchmakers United is creating a revolution in the distribution of timepieces from independent watchmakers and artists.

For our Geneva flagship gallery, we are looking for a highly dedicated Business Developer, able to embody perfectly the philosophy of the company and help us grow the business with excellent customer service. The aim of the gallery is to create a luxury environment with a modern approach, making all visitors at ease to discover the products and the craftsmen behind them.

Job Description

The Sales Ambassador is responsible for the daily management of the Flagship Gallery, including reaching sales targets, proactively looking for new customers , driving the business with the utmost customer service, and keeping all operations under control. While responsible for the apparent relaxed atmosphere in the boutique, the manager will ensure that customers experience an irreproachable luxury experience.

Responsibilities

  1. Sales Objectives & Targets
    • Aim to exceed all sales targets set by management and at the very minimum ensure that all targets are met by constantly building and maintaining a strong client base.
    • Devise and execute strategies for sales generation to meet monthly goals.
    • Oversee in-store customer events, liaising with the General Manager.
    • Attend local customer events outside the boutique.
    • Maintain awareness of local & luxury market trends and monitor local competition activity.
    • Build relationships with local and VIP clients and create a strong long-term brand image.
  2. Store Standards, Clienteling, and Customer Care
    • Liaise with your team, other relevant colleagues, and customers to identify and resolve urgent issues.
    • Ensure quality and consistency of assistance to visitors and clients: welcome, initiation, and follow-up should exceed client expectations for a memorable visit.
    • Guide customers towards available products or manage their expectations regarding delivery timing.
    • Engage in proactive CRM activity to develop immediate & long-range goal plans, focusing on qualitative and quantitative performance.
    • Showcase exemplary customer service and resolve customer situations diplomatically while abiding by all Company policies.
    • Ensure the best possible management of store upkeep and maintenance.
  3. Manage Store Operations (Budgets and Stock Control)
    • Manage store operations effectively while minimizing costs.
    • Review orders and needs with Management to ensure full merchandise potential.
    • Conduct business recaps focusing on sell-through and missed opportunities.
    • Oversee store staff to ensure adherence to guidelines, procedures & policies.
    • Manage VIP & Special requests between sales associates & Management.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Fluency in French and English; another language (Arabic, Chinese, etc.) is highly recommended.
  • Strong knowledge and passion for the watch industry.
  • Previous experience in a similar role requiring “hunting” for new customers.
  • Good communicator with the ability to interface regularly with internal and external personnel at all levels.
  • Ability to adapt to frequent change and a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to initiate contact and communication.
  • Motivated team player with a common goal, considerate of colleagues.
  • Operational, passionate about client satisfaction.
  • Dynamic and flexible, with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, able to adapt to a growing company.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
