Senior Accountant - German GAAPI'm recruiting for a Senior Accountant position on a permanent basis in the Lausanne area. The role is for a fast-growing international company with a German legal entity, requiring strong expertise in German accounting standards and tax compliance. Responsibilities Handle bookkeeping, payroll, tax filings (VAT, corporate), and financial reporting for a German entity, ensuring compliance with local regulations. Take full responsibility for the accounting operations of a German entity, including ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial closings. Manage payroll and ensure accurate tax filings (VAT, corporate), strictly aligned with German accounting and tax regulations. Prepare financial reports, support planning activities, and drive improvements in accounting processes and internal controls. Profile / Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with strong expertise in bookkeeping, payroll, and tax compliance under German GAAP (HGB). Fluent in German and English, proficient in DATEV if possible and Excel, and holds a degree in accounting or finance. Strong knowledge of HGB / German GAAP, with a degree in accounting / finance and ideally a professional certification. Demonstrates reliability, attention to detail, autonomy, and strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and manage deadlines effectively.
