Job Description
Translate documents from English to French, coordinating with external contractors for larger projects.
Translate short texts and documents as needed to meet urgent deadlines.
Review and proofread French translations by internal and external translators to ensure quality.
Provide feedback and training to translators, both internal and external.
Post-edit AI-generated translations of funding requests and other internal-use documents to expedite processes and reduce costs.
Collaborate with client teams to clarify content and terminology.
Ensure translated documents maintain consistent messaging aligned with the organization's guidelines.
Manage and update the French translation database to enhance speed and consistency among contractors and in-house translators.
Research, test, and implement new translation tools.
The Successful Applicant
At least 10 years of experience as a translator/reviser, ideally within the health, science, financial, or legal sectors.
Expert proficiency in computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools.
Proven experience in managing glossaries and translation memories.
